Try this new asian twist on your classic green beans!
Ingredients
- Four cups of fresh green beans – stems removed
- Six to eight cloves of garlic – minced
- Two tbsp oil of your choice – we used olive oil
- 1/3 cup + 1 tbsp of soy sauce – divided
- 1/4 tsp salt
- 1/2 tsp ground black pepper
- 1/2 tsp turmeric powder
- 1/4 cup sesame seeds
Directions
- Put your pan on medium to medium-low heat and add oil
- Once the oil is heated, add your minced garlic and sauté for about 3-5 minutes, or until golden brown
- Add the 1/3 cup of soy sauce, along with the salt, pepper, and turmeric
- Mix together well
- Continue cooking this mixture for about 10 minutes, stirring consistently until it is thick and syrupy
- Add in your sesame seeds, additional tbsp of soy sauce, and green beans
- Toss gently to coat and cover
- Cook for about 8-10 additional minutes, stirring every minute or two until tender
*May be served with rice for a heartier dish.
